- This tunic is crafted from 100% pure cotton khadi fabric from Karnataka. It embodies labour-intensive, mindful production and skilful craftsmanship.
- The fabric is texturally rich and breathable. It was Handwoven in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka using handspun 32-count double-strand warp and 32-count single-strand weft.
- The khadi fabric is first mordanted in Harda and ferrous alum, then two designs of hand block prints in Kasim, and then undergoes an over-dye bath in pomegranate peel (Anaar) at Melukote, Karnataka.
- The meticulous dyeing process enhances the fabric's depth of colour while ensuring a supple fall and luxurious texture.
- Expertly cut and stitched in our Bengaluru workshop, this tunic is a product of skilled hands, preserving traditional techniques and supporting local artisans.
Detail: Bucket neck, 3/4th length sleeves, no side slits, contrast facing, and two side pockets.
Note: The price mentioned is for the Khadi tunic only. Our garments are designed for a relaxed fit. The dress form is 5'11" with a 34.5" bust and is wearing a size S. We recommend a gentle hand wash with mild or no detergent and drying in the shade. Weave, print, and dye variations are inherent in handcrafting, making each piece unique. These are not defects but a testament to the authenticity of handmade textiles.
